Abstract In order to study the effecting degree on coal adsorption property of groundwater,the experiment begins with adsorption character coal samples under the condition of drought and water-bearing. These samples are fetched from No.3 coal seam in Lu¢an Tunliu Coal Mine. And then conclusions are as follows:(1) there is a logarithm relation between gas pressure and time,and the attenuation coefficient decreases with the increase of water-bearing ratio using adsorption of fixed-volume method;(2) there is an exponent relation between gas adsorption capacity and time;and (3) there also is a linearity relation between gas adsorption capacity and water-bearing ratio of coal samples,both of which are different from powder coal.
