Abstract Based on the practical experiences，elastoplastic model is established by adopting finite differential method. Modified through monitoring data，the model is used to simulate the process of excavation and to analyze the mechanism of the influence on deep foundation induced by pit excavation. Furthermore，three effective controlling measures are presented for reducing the influence.
