A STUDY OF CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUE FOR THE NANJING SUBWAY STATION UNDER THE NANJING RAILWAY STATION

Abstract The Nanjing subway station of Nanjing metro No.1 is the first subway station under the railway station in China，which is constructed with mining method. Constrained by the railway construction field，the Nanjing subway station is subdivided into three parts：(1) the southern cutting part，(2) the northern cutting part，and (3) the connecting part. The connecting tunnels constructed with mining method have a large span，a shallow coverage，and a little distance between two lines. In this paper，the connecting tunnels construction method and the railway reinforcement method are discussed.
