AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON STEEL FIBER REINFORCED HIGH STRENGTH CONCRETE SHAFT LINING IN DEEP ALLUVIUM

Abstract Aiming at the difficult problem of reinforcement for coal mine shafts in the deep alluvium of 550~700 m,the steel fiber reinforced high strength concrete shaft lining is proposed. Through model experiments,the characteristics of stress and strength of the steel fiber reinforced high strength concrete shaft lining are studied. The results of test indicate that under same conditions,employing steel fiber reinforced high strength concrete can considerably increase the strength of the shaft lining,and the steel fiber reinforced high strength concrete shaft lining is of better plastic characteristic. At the end,an equation for calculating the ultimate bearing capacity of the steel fiber reinforced high strength concrete shaft lining is given on the basis of the theoretical research and experimental results. The studied results provide a design basis for engineering practice of shaft lining structure.
