IMPROVED METHOD OF FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF SLOPE STABILITY

Abstract Two kinds of stress-strain relationship are used for different areas to evaluate the stability of slope,where the boundary effect can be eliminated efficiently and the natural state of slope can be simulated. The slope safety factors acquired by strength reduction are compared with those by equilibrium method. Using the method,two examples including a steep slope and a slope with weak layer are shown,and then satisfied results are gotten.
