| IN-SITU STRESS MEASUREMENT IN ROCKMASS OF ERLANG MOUNTAIN HIGHWAY TUNNEL |
Abstract Through the in-situ stress measurement by borehole overcoring technique and Kaiser effect method,it is found out that the general space stress state of rockmass in the famous,deeply-lying and especially long Erlang mountain highway tunnel, belongs to the potential strike-slip type. The measured in-situ stresses in the middle part of the tunnel are generally very large with the major principal stress of 35.3 MPa. So during the construction process, the problems of high in-situ stress and rockburst have to be taken into account.
