Abstract The geological conception model is put forward to answer the stability-losing question of the consequent high rock slope in Chongqing Wanliang express highway. The deformation failure mechanism and the control factor of stability-losing failure for consequent rock slope are analysed. At the same time,example analysis of the typical consequent high rock slope is given.
