| BASIC THEORY OF SEISMIC DEFORMATION METHOD IN CROSS

Abstract In China,great quantities of tunnels are located in high seismic intensity area. As one of the main structure of the national lifeline,tunnel seismic calculation method must be paid high attention to. Based on seismic response characteristics of the tunnel as well as differential kinematics equations of underground structures and surrounding rocks,the basic theory of seismic deformation method in cross section of tunnel is summarized. The solving methods of stratum displacements in homogeneous semi-infinite formation and bedded formation under seismic load are put forward. The adaptabilities of the seismic deformation method are studied by comparative analysis in both methods of seismic deformation method and time-history analysis method. The results prove that the seismic deformation method with clear theory can reflect the vibration characteristics of soil or weak rock tunnel whose seismic response is mainly influenced by ground relative displacement,and the computational process is convenient and efficient. It is a good method for this type of tunnel seismic calculation method if having the displacement or velocity response spectrum of project site.
