Abstract During the course of the TBM construction in Shanggongshan Tunnel,the TBM blockage occurs frequently. So the blockage has become the main control factor of the TBM construction. Base on the 2·22 blockage accident,engineering geological analyses are carried to search for the general rules of TBM blockage and countermeasures.
