Abstract:The selection of retaining scheme for deep foundation pit is presented. The selection involves multiple objectives such as technology, economics, environment, and risk. The decision relevant information such as attribute weights and the values of alternatives about some attributes may be not known exactly. Rather, they are to be expressed as a set of linear inequalities such as rankings and/or bounds. To cope with such decision-making question with incomplete information,a mathematical programming model based multi-attribute decision-making approach is used, which can obtain a satisfactory retaining scheme by checking dominance of alternatives. A practical example is given to show the feasibility and effectiveness of the presented method.
