Abstract:Dongguashan Copper Mine is the first rockburst-prone deep-seated metal ore deposit in China where rockburst control study has been performed. The rockburst proneness of typical rocks of the deposit and the properties of rockbursts of the workings at the mine are analyzed with the results of laboratory tests,namely,tension tests,complete stress-strain tests and tests of stress relaxation under the deformation at peak load,and in-situ rockburst information recorded during the drifting of the development workings. The stope structure parameters and mining steps of the deposit are optimized with numerical simulation method based on energy release rates in order to control rockbursts of stope. On the basis of this study,the principles and measures of rockburst control in the course of the mining in the mine,that is,control of energy release,reduction of energy storage,rational support and rockburst monitoring,are provided and discussed.
