Abstract:Using the Laplace Transform,this paper analyzed the partially penetrated vertical drain with vacuum preloading. A three-dimensional virtual vertical drain is assumed to reflect the real three-dimension seepage in the soil beneath the tip of the vertical drain;moreover,the vacuum loss along the drain is also taken into consideration in the model. The parameters influencing the consolidation are analyzed,such as well-resistance,vacuum loss,the penetrating ratio etc.. Finally,the results are compared with the field data which are matched very well.
