A ROCKBURST PRONENESS INDEX BASED ON CLASS II WHOLE PROCESS CURVE

Abstract:Based on the energy storage and release properties that have been revealed by the class II whole process curve during rock failure process,and the rationality of several existing rockburst proneness indices,a new rockburst proneness index is proposed. The index borrows ideas from Wet of the ability of reflecting the relationship between elastic and plastic tendency of rock,and can reflect the energy transform character. At the same time,it also avoids the irrationality of index R of using the class I whole process curve of hard rock as calculation base. The mechanical tests of the rock from Jinping energy II power station auxiliary tunnel show that the new index is verified to be able to show fairly well the rockburst proneness of rock.
