Abstract:At present, there are many procedures that are used to analyze dynamic response of the nuclear power station structures. In these procedures, analytic methods are different. For example,CLASSI uses the substructure method,FLUSH uses the equivalent linear finite element approach, and DYNA3D is a nonlinear finite element procedure. Considering the soil-structure and structure-structure interaction, the three well-rounded procedures are used to analyze dynamic response of the containment shell of nuclear power station, and linear results are compared with nonlinear results in this paper. The uncertainties in analyzing a soil-structure system due to SSI analysis procedures are also discussed.
