Abstract: Through a series of tests, the early strength of lime-fly ash stabilized sands with early strength accelerators,NaOH and Na2CO3,are evaluated. The mechanism of early strength is analyzed, and the mechanical property and temperature contraction performance are also tested. The results indicate that not only the early compressive strength of lime-fly ash stabilized sands on 7th day increases, but also the later properties such as the indirect tensile strength and the temperature contraction performance on 180th day are improved with early strength accelerator. Moreover, the properties with NaOH and Na2CO3 and the different proportion of lime to fly ash are compared. The lime-fly ash stabilized sands with accelerator has perfect road-use performance.
