Abstract：According to the occurrence of the inhomogeneity and non-equilibrium for the failure deformation of roadways surrounding rocks in the coal measures strata，the concepts of weak structure and weak structure body of roadways of surrounding rocks are presented. Based on numerical simulation and in-situ observation，the distribution characters of plastic areas，in which the different types，section shapes and stress states of surrounding rocks are considered，are analyzed；and the growth characters of fractured zone of roadways with weak lithology structure are studied. The achieved results can provide references to the non-harmonious control on weak lithology structure roadways.
