Abstract：SH is a new polymeric material of chemical sand-fixation. It is necessary for this material to be used in modern desert engineering. In this paper，the compressive strength of SH-fixated sand and its characteristics are studied through a great deal of laboratory experimants. The strength may reach 1 MPa if the sample is compacted slightly. The percentage of streagth loss is lower than 25% after 20 times of freezing-thawing. The strength increases 8.9% after being shined for 300 hours of intermission radiation. The sand fixated with SH is not only of high strength，but also shows good resistance to freezing-thawing and aging. SH is an effective material for sand-fixation.
