NONLINEAR THEORETICAL RHEOLOGICAL MODEL FOR ROCK:A REVIEW AND SOME PROBLEMS

Abstract:This paper gives a review of the nonlinear theoretical rheological model(TRM) in which some or all of the rheological parameters are variables versus stress,time or both of the two. Various kinds of TRMs are summarized,and different methods of obtaining creep equations of the nonlinear TRMs are categorized into three basic forms:(1) Constitutive equation of the nonlinear part is given first,followed by the deduction of the whole model?s constitutive equation and creep equation. (2) Constitutive equation of the nonlinear part is given first;creep equation of this part is then deducted;and the whole model?s creep equation can thus be obtained by superposition method. (3) Creep equation of the nonlinear part is given directly and creep equation of the whole model is obtained by superposition method. A doubtful and even wrong method is also pointed out to prevent further mistakes.
