Abstract:Shales are important source rocks and sealing rocks with intrinsic anisotropy. The character of stress-strain response and ultrasonic speed response for shales are obtained by experimental measurement, and the features of static and dynamic moduli on anisotropic rock are studied. The dynamic modulus of anisotropic rock is gained by measuring vertical and horizontal wave velocities of core under different directions, and the static modulus is obtained through the measurement of stress-strain characteristics in loading process. Characteristics of wave velocity and elasticity modulus of anisotropic rock under quasi-static and dynamic conditions are analyzed. Except the difference of loading frequency, the strain amplitude difference are obtained respectively under static and dynamic measurements. Study of geophysical response characteristics for anisotropic rocks is of great significance.
