FINITE ELEMENT METHOD OF UPPER BOUND THEOREM BASED ON THE GENERALIZED PLASTIC THEORY AND ITS APPLICATION

Abstract:The associated flow rule for trandional plastic theory is not in accordance with the geotechnical experiment and the non-associated flow rule should be adopted. The finite element method of upper bound theorem based on the generalized plastic theory and its application are presented. The linear programming method is applied to search the minimum upper bound solution. It is proved that the presented method is reasonable and practicable by comparison with classical solution.
