Abstract:Taking the construction of Wanjiazhai soil gallery belonging to the project of diversion project of the Yellow River as an example, the essential factors affecting the stability of tunnel excavation are analysed based upon in-site measurement of deep displacements for surrounding soil-mass,forces on steel ribs for reinforced concrete cage, earth pressures and the compression between two supporting linings. The variation law of the above factors is studied, and some problems which should be considered in monitoring are also put forward.
