Abstract:A perturbational method based homogenization method is formulated to simulate the constitutive properties of composite materials by means of three-dimensional finite element models. The numerical tests of two and three-dimensional composite structures are presented to show that more accurate results of effective modulus are obtained with less computer time, compared to other numerical methods. It is also proved that the developed approach is reliable and efficient.
