Abstract The fou r p robab ility m ethods of sand liquefact ion analysis are in t roduced: ( 1) homogeneou s
po isson model, (2) comp rehen sive p robab ility, (3) to tal p robab ility, (4) crit ical accelerat ion. The later two
m ethods can be u sed in earthquake hazard analysis direct ly, and the resu lt is sim ilar to u sualm ethods, as the
examp le indicates.
