Abstract By using integral equation method，the dynamic response of the laterally loaded pile in saturated soil is studied. Utilizing the Green function of harmonic horizontal circular load in the interior of half-space saturated soil and compatibility condition between pile and soil，the second kind of Fredholm integral equation is established. After the numerical solution of the integral equation，the dynamic response of the pile subject to harmonic horizontal load can be obtained.
