Abstract The study on 3-D modeling of rock discontinuity network and its engineering application are introduced. Based on 3-D modeling of rock discontinuity network, the structural model of rock mass can be found and the structural feature of rock mass can be studied. The 3-D modeling of rock discontinuity network can be used for evaluating the quality of rock mass and searching for separated blocks，and takes important function on the study of the problems of rock mechanics.
