STUDY ON SLOPE CUT-INDUCED INFLUENCE ZONE AND POTENTIAL SLIDE SURFACE |

Abstract Determination of slope cut-induced influence zone and potential slide surface is an important problem for geotechnical field. The stress and strain at a particle in slope are readjusted when the slope is cut. According to the readjusting regularity of stress and strain,the influence zone and potential slide surface are determined,with the help of wedge theory of elastic mechanics. A practical case study is made and the result proves that the presented method is reasonable.
