STUDY ON A NEW BACK ANALYSIS ALGORITHM IN GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING BASED ON IMMUNIZED CONTINUOUS ANT COLONY ALGORITHM |

Abstract To solve the optimization problem in back analysis of geotechnical engineering,the global optimization algorithm,such as evolutionary algorithm,is a very good method. But the efficiency of this algorithm is a very large defect. In order to overcome the defect of those optimization methods,a new algorithm—immunized continuous ant colony algorithm(ICACA) based on the traditional continuous ant colony algorithm(CACA) and the principles of immunized artificial system(IAS) is suggested for the first time. Combining ICACA with FEM,a new back analysis algorithm is proposed. Through a simple example,the validity of the proposed algorithm is verified;and the results show that this new algorithm is a very good method for back analysis and its efficiency is high.
