EXCESS PORE WATER PRESSURE CAUSED BY SINGLE PILE DRIVING IN SATURATED SOFT SOIL |

Abstract By analyzing the measured data during piles driving,distribution rules and range of the excess pore pressure caused in soil around single pile are discussed. Results indicate that the excess pore pressure declines in logarithm function with the distance from the pile,and the influencing range is about 30 times of the pile radius. The comparison between the theoretical results and the measured data shows that the measured results of the excess pore pressure fit better with the computed results by substituting the plastic area radius from fitting line of the measured data into the cylindrical cavity expansion theory.
