Abstract The modified rubber powder-cement mortar and glass fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) are used to simulate the rock and bolt, respectively. The reinforced effect of bolt on rock mass with perforation joints is studied by laboratory uniaxial tension test. The experimental results show that: (1) Comparison with the failure shape of sample without bolts, the anchored samples present the plastic failure characteristic. (2) The bolts enhance the deformation modulus and uniaxial tensile strength of the jointed rock mass;and the deformation modulus and uniaxial tensile strength increase at first, then decrease with the increase of the anchoring angles. (3) The latter failure modes of reinforced samples change with the increase of anchoring angles, which is relative to the combined effect of bond performance and shear resistance properties.
