Abstract Using large triaxial apparatus，the slaking character is studied for coarse aggregate of Heihe dam under different slaking stress level. According to the result of slaking test，the character of coarse aggregate slaking deformation is presented under triaxial stress condition，and the shear strength of coarse aggregate slaking test is discussed，by comparing the result of slaking test with the data of large triaxial test under high pressure.
