Abstract The testing study was made on interface shear strength of sand in high stress in DRS-1 computer-controlled direct shear and cyclic shear apparatus. The results show that the relationships of peak strength versus normal stress and residual strength versus normal stress of sand-sand and concrete-sand are well in accord with Coulomb’s law.
