RESEARCH ON TBM CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES FOR SOUTH MAIN OF YRDP

Abstract：TBM is commonly used for deep buried and long tunnels and become prevails for tunnel excavation in international practices. The total length of No.4~7 tunnels in south main of Shanxi Yellow River Diversion Project(YRDP) is 90Km. The tunnel is excavated by TBM except some soil entranceways. The longest tunnel is about 43Km and hydrological geology of the tunnel is quite complex. According to practical experiences, this paper will discuss some construction countermeasures for TBM constructions in bad geological sites in engineering.
