NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF SURFACE SETTLEMENT CONTROL CONSIDERING PIPE JACKING CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Abstract:Pipe jacking construction causes soil disturbance and leads to surface settlement and building damage. In order to reduce soil disturbance and building damage,especially in soft soils with high water level,numerical simulation is conducted to optimize construction parameters based on surface settlement control,because settlement is comprehensive response. The parameters,such as friction,pipe jacking pressure,soil anti-force,were comprehensively analyzed to control surface settlement and protect environment and construction safety. Result shows that when above mentioned three parameters are 10 kPa,0.18 MPa,15 kPa,respectively,the surface settlement is the least. The conclusion could provide the references to similar engineering.
