Abstract:Granule failure of calcareous sand is very special at low stress level. The effect of confining pressure on granule farlure is analyzed and its deformation mechanism discussed. Further the coupling interaction of failure and slide is studied for calcareous sand. The interaction is described by damage model and bounding surface model,respectively. Computation shows that there is good agreement between numerical simulation and test results.
