Abstract:A practical elastoplastic model for granular materials is proposed. The model can predict the stress-strain relation of granular materials in three-dimensional stresses, especially with confining-pressure dependency of strength and deformation. The model parameters can be converted from the parameters of the Duncan-Chang model. The model performance has been illustrated by comparing the model prediction results with the data of triaxial compression tests on rockfill material in the wide range of the confining-pressure.
