Abstract:Stability analysis of cutting slopes is an important issue in road construction. The nonlinear finite element analysis of a consequent rock cutting slope is carried out based on the engineering geology investigation. The excavation deformation of the consequent rock cutting slope is simulated by using the strength-reduction theory and ANSYS. The mechanism and evolution process of failure are analyzed. Some reasonable suggestions are put forward for the treatment of slopes.
