Abstract In accordance with requirements raised from information management in tunnel construction of the second stage Pearl Line , Shanghai Metro, a technical reformation scheme of data acquisition system for shields previously introduced from overseas has been set up and implemented. With the newly added gyroscope, computer application software for attitude control , shield tunneling data management ,and dedicated expandable LAN network on shield's real time data have been developed. It is well referable for data acquisition in domestically manufactured shields henceforth..
