NUMERICAL SIMULATION ON THE MOVEMENT PROCESS OF XINTAN LANDSLIDE BY DDA METHOD

Abstract:Based on the general principle of DDA,discontinuous deformation analysis,and the engineering geologic characteristics of Xintan landslide,the numerical simulation is carried out by DDA on the movement process of Xintan landslide. It is concluded that the middle part of the old landslide is reactivated firstly and then causes subsequent failure of the lower part due to the actions of pushing and pulling of sliding blocks,and finally the whole slope slides down.
