Abstract:A time-effective model of sedimentary rocks is presented. The inherent anisotropy of this kind of materials is described with a scalar anisotropy parameter. The time effect is considered with a damage factor. The uniaxial compressive strength is the function of time, microstructure tensor and stress. A complete plasticity model describing the deformation process in anisotropic sedimentary rocks is given. Several triaxial tests are simulated with the presented model, the results show the inherent anisotropy and time-dependent behavior in sedimentary rocks can be efficiently described with the model.
