Abstract:Based on the running tunnel of Yuexiu park and Sanyuanli in Guangzhou metro line 2,the influence of in-situ stress release on the stability of surrounding rock masses and ground surface settlement for shield-driven tunnel is analysed by using the elastoplastic finite element method. Calculated results show that,the deformation of crown,springing and soffit around the tunnel face,and the plastic zone of the surrounding rock masses increase obviously with release of in-situ stress. As a result,the surrounding rock masses are turned from stable state to instable one,and the ground surface settlement increases greatly.
