Abstract:Based on the explicit finite element schemes for analyzing dynamic response of solid,fluid-saturated porous media, fluid,a procedure using those schemes for dynamic analyses of wave propagation in multi-layered media is presented considering the boundary condition at the interfaces and the artificial transmitting boundary for simulation of the far field. The procedure and its computer program have been verified by examples. The results obtained by the proposed procedure agree well with the corresponding analytical solutions. In addition, the results obtained considering the radiation damping by the artificial transmitting boundary show that the accuracy of the procedure can be assured for the proposed scheme.
