NUMERICAL MANIFOLD METHOD OF ELASTOPLASTIC ANALYSIS FOR ROCKMASS

Abstract:Numerical manifold method of elastoplastic analysis is presented by using the parametric variation principle. This method can solve the elastoplastic problem including non-associate flow. It avoids iterations at every load step. It is suitable to the elastoplastic analysis of rockmass. An example testifies the validity of the proposed approach.
