Abstract:Coupling physical modeling and numerical analysis on pipe jacking behavior are performed. In the former analysis,the influence of the heading pressure on the surface stability is studied. Based on the results of physical modeling and the theoretical analysis by Leca (1990),numerical model is calibrated before application to the study of the subsidence behavior during the pipe jacking process.
